Principles
Scale
This game’s ranges are listed in yards. The real life value of these is listed as follows on the table below.
| Scale | Yard is… |
|---|---|
| 28/32mm | 1 inch |
Skill Checks
Sometimes Characteristics will be tested. To do so, roll a D6 and compare the result to the table below against the characteristic’s value to see if it passed.
| Value | Pass On… |
|---|---|
| 0 | 7+ |
| 1 | 6+ |
| 2 | 5+ |
| 3 | 4+ |
| 4 | 3+ |
| 5 | 2+ |
| 6 | 2+/6+ |
| 7 | 2+/5+ |
| 8 | 2+/4+ |
| 9 | 2+/3+ |
| 10 | 2+/2+ |
| 11+ | 1+ |
If the entry has a “/”, like 2+/5+, then make a normal check using the first value. Then for all the failures you can reattempt the check using the second value. For the example above, it means pass on 2+ then on 5+ if failed the first attempt. Skill checks of 0 automatically fail, and skill checks of 11 or more automatically pass.
Modifiers
Sometimes you will get a modifier to your check, like +1 or -1. These modifiers change you characteristic’s value for that test. For example if you have a value of 5 and get +1 to the test, you’d pass on a 2+/6+.
