Striking
Striking refers to the act of two individuals attempting to punch, cut, or otherwise maim each other in melee combat. All combat utilizes melee weapons which will have the following characteristics.

To perform a strike, target a fighter within both line of sight and reach. The attack and defender both make contested Weapon Skill checks. The winner of the contested check bests their enemy and deals damage to them.
Reach Modifier
If a fighter has a total Reach longer than their enemy, then they inflict a negative modifier to their opponent’s total equal to the difference in their Reach. For example, if an attacker has the reach of 3 yards and a defender has the reach of 1 yard, the defender with get -2 to their total for the contested Weapon Skill check.
Exhausted
If a fighter is participating in a combat, and they’ve already activated this round, they get -dis to the contested Weapon Skill Check.
